Romping Tips for a Safe High Hallows

Hello, Lovat community! As we gear up for the exciting festivities of High Hollows, the Lovat Police Department wants to share some important tips to ensure a safe and enjoyable romping experience for everyone. Here are our top recommendations:

  1. Make sure to bring a flashlight! High Hollows can get dark, and having a flashlight handy will help you navigate safely through the streets.
  2. Plan out your romping ahead of time by choosing well-lit streets and safe warrens. Stick to areas with good visibility and avoid secluded or dimly lit places.
  3. Only approach doorways that are well-lit! Remember, no lights on means no romping. Be respectful of those who are not participating in the festivities.
  4. This is an important one – NEVER enter a stranger’s home, and NEVER allow a stranger to chaperone your group. Stay with your trusted friends and family members at all times.
  5. Wait until you arrive home to sort, check, and eat your goodies. It’s always a good idea to inspect your treats under proper lighting to ensure safety.
  6. Romping should be done in groups, preferably with a trusted adult. Stick together and look out for one another. Safety is our priority!

We wish everyone a Happy High Hollows! Have a fantastic time celebrating, but please remember to stay safe. In case of an emergency or if you need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to one of our patrol officers. We’re here to help and ensure a secure environment for all.

Let’s make this High Hollows a memorable and safe experience for everyone in our wonderful Lovat community!
