Lovat faith leaders uniting hands.

Mayor Magnez Announces Interfaith Action Committee Led by Minister Juno Inox

The Office of the Mayor is pleased to announce the formation of the Lovat Interfaith Action Committee, a new initiative dedicated to fostering dialogue, cooperation, and mutual understanding among the city’s diverse religious communities. The committee will be led by Minister Juno Inox, a respected figure in Lovat’s Hasturian community, whose longstanding efforts in faith-based outreach and community development make her well-suited for the role.

“This committee represents a significant step toward strengthening the bonds between Lovat’s many faith traditions,” said Mayor Camilla Magnez. “Religious diversity has always been a vital part of our city’s identity, and I believe Minister Inox’s leadership will ensure that all voices are heard as we work together to build a more inclusive and harmonious Lovat.”

The decision has been met with strong support from several city leaders, including Councilmember March Brass (District Eight), Avril Aluminia (District Ten), and Bird Pierson (District Eighteen), all of whom praised Minister Inox’s history of advocacy and her commitment to interfaith cooperation. “This is the kind of initiative our city needs,” said Brass. “Bringing faith leaders together to address the challenges we all share is a meaningful step toward unity.”

However, not all members of the city council are pleased with the selection. Councilmembers Samuel Danforth (District One) and Carlton Akeley (District Thirteen) have voiced concerns about whether Minister Inox will truly represent the broad spectrum of Lovat’s religious communities. “While I respect Minister Inox’s work, I worry that this committee will lean too heavily in one direction,” said Akeley. “If we’re going to foster interfaith cooperation, it needs to be genuinely representative—not just a platform for one faith to lead the conversation.”

In response to these concerns, the Mayor’s Office has reaffirmed that the Interfaith Action Committee will include representatives from a wide range of faith traditions in Lovat and will work to ensure that all communities have a seat at the table. The committee’s first public meeting is scheduled for next month, where it will outline its priorities and begin shaping a framework for meaningful interfaith collaboration.
