Officers with the Lovat Police Department made several arrests this week for a range of petty crimes, from pickpocketing to unlicensed gambling, as they continue their efforts to keep the city’s streets orderly.
On Level 3, Reservoir, patrol officers detained a young male maero for attempted pickpocketing near the Brimley Public Lift. He was caught rifling through the coat pocket of a commuter before being restrained by an off-duty monorail operator. Officers took him into custody, charging him with theft and trespassing—his fourth such arrest this year.
Later that evening in Brookside, Level 5, LPD officers raided an unlicensed dice game operating in the back room of a bakery on Damson Street. Three individuals were cited for illegal gambling and released with orders to appear before a magistrate. The bakery owner, who denied knowledge of the game, was issued a warning for permitting unauthorized activity on the premises.
Meanwhile, in Pergola Square, Level 6, a human male was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct at the Silver Lantern Tavern. Witnesses reported that the well-known local nuisance, was shouting about “secret maps” and “hidden pathways under the city” before being escorted out by responding officers. He is currently being held overnight to sober up.
The LPD reminds all residents that even minor offenses can lead to legal consequences. Reports of suspicious activity can be filed at the nearest Wilmarth Message Co. Telegraph Office or by contacting your warren’s patrol officers.
