Last night at 12:48 a.m., a vigilant Level Four resident of Waymore Tower contacted a patrol officer to report an incident involving a human female suspect in her 30s rushing down Pine Street with a stolen Rickshaw. The suspect had collided with a metal barrier at the intersection of Lacebark and East Lenawee and promptly fled the scene. Swiftly responding to the call, LPD officers located the suspect an hour later and placed her under arrest.
Upon closer inspection, the 37-year-old female suspect, exhibited clear signs of intoxication. Subsequently, she was apprehended for theft, and driving a rickshaw under the influence (DUI). However, the situation escalated during transportation to the Broadway Hill Precinct. The suspect became combative, and she lashed out at several officers, striking one in the forehead and another in the groin. Matters worsened at the precinct when, during escort to a holding cell, she deliberately spat in the face of one of the officers.
The assaulted officer was promptly treated at Dyer Memorial Medical Center for exposure to potential biological hazards and was later released. The suspect now faces serious charges, as she was booked into the Lovat City Jail for Investigation of Assault on an Officer, Theft, and Investigation of Malicious Mischief. Investigating officers have also sought additional charges related to DUI and Hit & Run.
